"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Philip over the last few years at LEGOLAND California Resort. My first impression of Philip was during his initial audition for LEGOLAND; as the Entertainment & Events Manager/Producer I sat in to audit the audition and provide feedback on our potential hires. I brought my 6 year old son to act as “volunteer” for all of the candidates to help give them a little context for our real audiences at the Resort, and I watched with delight as Philip immediately captured and held my son’s attention. My son gravitated to the funny, quick and friendly performer who made him giggle and smile.
It was an easy choice to cast Philip in his first role as Hotel Entertainer at LEGOLAND, and we were thrilled to discover that Philip was not only a talented Performer, but a skilled and gifted Master of Ceremonies. Plus he turned out to be a really awesome person on and off stage. He is a true professional, who is kind and respectful and really, really good at what he does. He’s been a valued asset not only to the Entertainment & Events Team, but to the Marketing Department as a spokesperson for several Public Relations Stunts, Capital Investment announcements and Grand Openings held at LEGOLAND. "We reached out to Phil to help staff our booth and theater at VMworld 2015! As a startup with constraints on budget and planning we found Phil to be very responsive and keyed into our needs. He carried out his responsibility and more with the utmost professionalism. His stage presence, delivery and command of the subject (after just a couple of show floor practice runs) was simply awesome. As a result we had many more visitors to our booth and we were able to get the word out on our technology. "I had the honor to work with Philip Ongert on numerous occasions over the period of three years. I was an event coordinator and I always requested to use Philip for hosting or performing first, before any other performer. Philip is the most professional actor I have met. He comes to the stage prepared, he researches whatever he needs to do to perform and he takes direction better than anyone I know. If I was busy running an event and I needed Philip to host, I would give him minimal direction and he would knock it out of the park. He can read an audience better than anyone I know. It's not easy to entertain kids and adults in the same setting, but he can entertain audiences of all ages. I wish that I could have taken Philip with me when I moved out of state. "To say he is talented is an understatement. Philip takes every role seriously and isn't just rehearsed, he becomes the character and has an authentic connection with the audience. As the event supervisor at Legoland, we auditioned several people for highlighted stage and emcee roles in our biggest events. Philip's talents shined in the audition, and he was so good he could have been cast for every part. However, we selected him as the emcee for our biggest stage since it required someone poised, entertaining and able to think on their feet. This stage balanced shows and costume contests where hundreds of kids crossed the stage. Philip made each of them feel special. He went above and beyond by researching jokes, creating a vampire character and singing. The audience loves him and due to so many positive guest comments, Philip has been asked back to emcee that stage the past 4 years without auditioning. There has been several times where fireworks were delayed on important dates like July 4th and New Years Eve and Philip had 30+ minutes of dead air to fill. He did so with ease. He is also the first person we call for important media, PR and attendance driving events. To me, he is the hosting face of Legoland and there is nothing we don't trust him with. He is outstanding!"

"Philip is the reason @k_bindz and I love line dancing! One random night last October, Phillip came up to us at Moonshine and tried to get us to line dance. We hesitantly shook our heads because we were very intimidated by the well-seasoned dancers (and we kinda thought it was a lil weird not gunna lie). But Philip gave us a mini, easy dance lesson on the side of the dance floor for one of the upcoming songs and brought both of us a kamikaze shot (which is now our go-to at moonshine). He makes learning the dances really fun and easy, especially when you’re new at line dancing. He has such a positive impact on everyone that walks into moonshine and people love his welcoming energy. "Just wanted to say how much of an influence you had on me in terms of putting myself out there on the dance floor and physically getting me to dance. I come from a small college town that only has one place to line dance and I always felt judged for trying to learn a specific dance, in the moment / on the fly. But not at Moonshine. "When my sister and I first sparked an interest in wanting to try and learn line dancing, we were those shy girls in the corner thinking how in the world are we ever going to learn this and what exactly are we doing here!? As you may have guessed, we started off going to Incahoots. We didn’t make many friends and no one was really willing to help us. It was like a throw yourself out there and try your best to at least make sure you were facing the right direction. Until one day, a very special person name Phillip noticed that two girls were sitting on the ledge, watching everyone dancing knowing that they too wanted to be out there just like everyone else. This one person took the time to show us the steps and even encouraged those two shy girls to finally make it out to the dance floor. At this point in time, I will no longer refer to myself as those girls. Ever since that night, I finally felt invited into this dance community/culture and have been enjoying it for the past 6 months. "Philip is one of the best guys I’ve had the pleasure to meet, follow and learn from on the dancing circuit. I only started line dancing a back in April at Moonshine Beach and Flats but from the beginning he’s been nothing but a saint and a great person to learn from. If not for him I would never have tried line dancing in the first place and now because of him it is one of my greatest passions. His ability to work the crowd is unparalleled and unrivaled at any of the other honkeytonks I’ve been to and probably won’t be matched going forward. "About a year ago I showed up to Moonshine Beach by myself to watch a line dancing competition. Seeing that I was alone, Phil was the first person on staff to approach me after I walked in by myself. He welcomed me, introduced me to the Moonshine Beach community, and immediately made me feel at ease being among a crowd of people I did not know yet. In all of the time that I have been going to Moonshine Beach, which has been about once a week since the beginning of 2019, I have never had anyone else on the Moonshine staff welcome and interact with me in a similar capacity. This speaks volumes to the type of person that Phil is and how well he has represented Moonshine Beach. I would even go so far as to say that he represented the company better than any other staff member there. He is a fantastic host, is easy to follow when he is teaches line dancing, and is always friendly and smiling (which unfortunately, has not been my experience of many other staff members there).

I was just starting out and he was so easy to follow while still challenging and pushing me to be better! Such an amazing, positive energy pours out of him constantly, and it is definitely contagious! He even went so far out of his way as to come to our line dancing club and teach everyone there a few new dances/ learn some new ones himself. along without getting lost or frustrated. This makes him very efficient as an instructor. Philip is

Philip is kind and encouraging to all people! He is helpful to beginners and veterans in
the country line dancing community! He knows every line dance out there and is more than
ready to step out and help anyone on the side attempting to learn a dance that’s currently
happening. He’s not afraid to be on the floor dancing alone in order to get others to become
enthusiastic about getting out there with him. I think he’s the best out there to have been, and

"When my sister and I first sparked an interest in wanting to try and learn line dancing, we were those shy girls in the corner thinking how in the world are we ever going to learn this and what exactly are we doing here!? As you may have guessed, we started off going to Incahoots. We didn’t make many friends and no one was really willing to help us. It was like a throw yourself out there and try your best to at least make sure you were facing the right direction. Until one day, a very special person name Phillip noticed that two girls were sitting on the ledge, watching everyone dancing knowing that they too wanted to be out there just like everyone else. "About a year ago I showed up to Moonshine Beach by myself to watch a line dancing competition. Seeing that I was alone, Phil was the first person on staff to approach me after I walked in by myself. He welcomed me, introduced me to the Moonshine Beach community, and immediately made me feel at ease being among a crowd of people I did not know yet. In all of the time that I have been going to Moonshine Beach, which has been about once a week since the beginning of 2019, I have never had anyone else on the Moonshine staff welcome and interact with me in a similar capacity. Philip is kind and encouraging to all people! He is helpful to beginners and veterans in

"My wife dragged me to class. She took improv in college and thought it would be really fun for us to do together. I was weary, since I'm not typically a performer. I don't like being called out in comedy clubs or dancing in front of people.
Phil made me very comfortable and relaxed. They did exercises that promoted a safe feeling of self-expression and creativity. The class was filled with people who were totally accepting, fun, and focused on the different activities. I learned a lot about myself and about other people. I highly recommend Phil.
